If your beloved pet gets lost and you get a call confirming they were brought here, I’d take extra action & hold off on any relief or excitement on making sure you get your beloved pet back. As ours was brought in after running outside, brought in then confirmed with a call (he was microchipped) that he was there and told that they would bring him home the following afternoon.. just to be told they decided to let him loose in the area he was trapped in. Absolutely no communication whatsoever nor an apology. I would hope this would not happen to anyone else as the communication in all parties could’ve been handled a lot better. I hope in the future better procedure can be taken because this is extremely upsetting & disappointing coming from a place that should be handling our pets with trust.

Called the clinic to get some info, the woman who answered was treacherously rude. It’s so off putting to know that ppl like that are at the front of animal sanctuary and protection. Humane Society, please do better and get this lady off the phones immediately.

Very disappointed in VBHS .
Unfortunately we were forced to surrender 2 kittens (9 months old ) .
We were assured that these siblings would NOT be separated. They've never been apart and literally cry and panic when they are .
I come to find out they both are being offered separately and NOT as a pair . WE adopted them as a pair because the bond was evident.
Biggest mistake ever was surrendering to them to these people. First they lose us and then each other ..just ain't right !

I lost my dog to cancer last month. I have a cat so it made it difficult to find another dog. But thanks to Humane Society, they found a perfect match for me and my cat❣️

I've highly rated this organization in the past because they were so helpful with a spay, but when you read or hear they will temporarily Foster and release wild animals, like 2 weeks old baby raccoons that someone rescued, don't believe it. A friend dropped two baby raccoons off yesterday and were promised they would be well cared for until they could be released like maybe a month. Then Animal Control showed up at their home and scared them about rabies and stated the animals have been euthanized. They demanded this person go to the ER for rabies shot or die within a couple days. They're also forcing anyone else that came into contact to get rabies shots. The rescuer was an elderly person who had been caring for these babies for 1 week. 1 baby tried to bite her 1x on FIRST day- SEVEN days before taking them to HS. NO signs nor symptoms from anyone who had been around those babies.
HS blatantly lied and promised to help them. I guess I would like them to at least not misrepresent their plans. Just refuse taking them all together there are Foster options out there who are capable and willing to do the right thing.

I love working here! So much kindness and compassion shown to every animal. I believe for all of the staff this job is a labor of love. They also have top notch Veterinary care. The only thing the animals want is a forever home.
