I love this place so much. Perfect stay for a perfect vacation in the perfect island of Maui. Every employee we encountered was friendly and polite. Everything was clean and beautiful at all times. The walking path to the mall and Black Rock beach is a dream. I did their yoga class - great. We used their pickleball courts - great. Their pools and jacuzzis - great. I did come review the Hyatt mostly because I wanted to hype up the breakfast/dinner lounge. If you’re able to, I recommend it. I know you have to pay extra for it but in my opinion it was worth it. The breakfast is simple but delicious. Their coffee is amazing and you can get expressos anytime of the day. Their dinners are supposed to be appetizers but they could counted as full meals. Their drink specials are great too!!!

Overall, I love this hotel and can’t wait to go back.

We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a corner room in the main building, which offered a truly amazing view of the property, the ocean, and the island. The room was wonderfully quiet; the only sound I heard at night was the peaceful rhythm of the waves.

The swimming pool was large and deep, perfect for lap swimming. I especially appreciated that it felt slightly heated, making it comfortable to swim even at night.

The lounge access was incredibly convenient for grabbing coffee and small bites. Additionally, the lei making class was a fun and enjoyable activity.

Beautiful property with great staff, but some misses for a Globalist level stay

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui for five nights to celebrate our anniversary. As longtime Hyatt loyalists who have gotten engaged, married, and honeymooned at Hyatt properties across the world including Mexico, Bolgatty, and Phuket, we were excited to continue the tradition in Maui. We also used a Guest of Honor award for this stay, so we were eligible for full Globalist benefits.

The property itself is beautiful and well maintained, and the staff we interacted with were warm and welcoming. We received an oceanfront room with nice views and a thoughtful welcome bottle of wine, which we appreciated.

One issue that impacted our stay was the noise level in the room. The walls felt quite thin, and we woke up at night due to noises from neighboring rooms and the hallway.

Another challenge was dining. We are vegetarians, and while we understand that options may vary by property, the choices across the restaurants and the Regency Club were limited. It made daily meals more restrictive than expected for a resort of this caliber.

Overall it is a very nice property with great staff and iconic Maui views. With a few improvements, especially around soundproofing and expanded vegetarian dining options, this could be an excellent experience for loyal Hyatt guests celebrating special occasions.

We had a great experience. The Guest of Honor award allowed us to receive an upgraded ocean front room and we loved it! We also loved the free breakfast and evening appetizers every day as part of the GOH, and free valet parking during our stay. The room and hotel were clean and beautiful. We had a wonderful time.

We stayed a couple of nights for our 35th wedding anniversary. We have stayed here before and love it here. The large resort pool wasn’t too busy this time although they’ve closed in the pool cave bar with a recent extension to Japengo.|I think the hotel gym is one of the best located and well equipped of all hotels I’ve stayed in.|Breakfast at Swan court was a large buffet and pretty well prepared.|We don’t eat at any of the restaurants this time, but bought coffee at the Honolulu coffee company on site and had pool drinks and lunch.|Self parking is, what I’d consider expensive at a place with large amount of land and a big car park, but no option really. Also the resort fee is ridiculous. I don’t know why they just don’t add it to the accommodation fee, as really, that’s what it is and you have to pay it, but all the other hotels also follow this ridiculous and uniquely American practice.|The beach outside the hotel is no very eroded and rocky, so you need to walk to whalers village if you want a decent beach to lay on and swim at.|The sustainable practice of providing an aluminium water bottle and refill stations is a good idea.|Staff were friendly and helpful and room was large and comfortable and you can’t beat the view

We had a one night stay here and it was great. June at check in was amazing. She moved our room for better access when she saw mom with walking cane. She also gave my kid a Hyatt Regency stuffy. He still has it. She really made us feel so welcomed even thought it was for one night stay. The resort is big with multiple buildings. The walking path at the front along the beach goes for miles. Turtle rock by post office down the highway is amazing snorkeling spot. The lounge was ok. Really love the resident penguins and swans. My son loved the water slide, water play area and hanging bridge. The hot tub also has such amazing view of the beach. The room was perfect for us with very modern bathroom. The bathrobe was so pretty. Overall, great short stay. Would love to stay longer next time.

Beautiful property with an incredible natural setting. The open layout, lush landscaping, and ocean views make the resort feel calm and immersive without being overdone. Walking the grounds alone was a highlight. A great place to stay if you value scenery, nature, and a peaceful atmosphere paired with a well-run resort. The distance to Whaler's Village is also a huge plus!

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui. The highlight of our stay was definitely the on site Luau Drums of the Pacific. Nicole was the manager at Drums of the Pacific, she did such an amazing job! We had requested mac and cheese for our daughter ahead of time but did not think they were going to accommodate it since its a buffet style meal. They served my daughter mac and cheese for dinner which was a nice touch. Rick was our server he also did a great job. I would highly recommend the on site luau for anybody who is looking for a Luau on Maui! The hotel is very nice, the pools are great as well. The heated pools are a nice touch! The Regency club is awesome as well! I would highly recommend adding Regency Club access to your reservation. If you are looking for a great family friendly hotel in Maui then the Hyatt Regency in Maui is what you are looking for!
