Small store with an interesting mix of genres. I pop in here once a year and it's good for a single year visit. They have tapes which is fun.

A bit pricey for what they put out. Better options for selection and price elsewhere.

Loved this place - packed full of analogue goodies and vintage gubbins.

Mind boggling tape selection - didn't have time to get lost in it - and lots of good records. The guy at the counter was happy to put on a Cuban pressing I found and we had a good chat.

Exactly what a music shop should be and the also advertise some live music on their Instagram

They don’t deserve a star what so ever can’t believe they are still open with the absolute dumpster picked trash they are re selling for a ridiculous beach tax at the location with utter rancid gutter aromas. You don’t even bother to replace the felt pad in used cassets. And you have the audacity to sell and claim items are as is like I’m at some flea market shake down.

Sell a product that works and I’ll change my rating but that’s three times in a row I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you let me down a third. I hope your owner is brave enough to fix these issues, clearly the help won’t even bother to admit, according to him, there was no way to check and play the tape before purchase. Good luck and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else stupid enough to pay these prices. Unfortunately I was duped again.

Make sure you take your food and beverages inside. They love that.

I want to support small records stores as much as possible, but so many like this one are charging ridiculous prices for used vinyl that have a ton wear. It seems like so many of these shops feel they can rip people off just because what they are selling is now ‘vintage’. Look around LA and you’ll find much better record stores. Some of the new vinyl seemed more reasonable, so that may be more worth checking out.

Wow, what passionate and knowledgeable staff and a great selection! I was directing a shoot in downtown and desperately needed blank cassette tapes from the 90s. The staff were kind enough to find numerous “vintage” looking blank cassettes and send them to us in a Uber I ordered after I paid over the phone (this is going above and beyond, I would really not usually ask a shop to do a favor like that). They really saved the day ? ? As an avid collector of current cassette releases, I’m looking forward to coming in to browse their recordings. ?
