The staff were all great. Paul was so kind and you can tell he enjoys this business. We had breakfast in the courtyard. It was delicious and beautiful. We stayed in the Honey suite. It was so spacious & sweet. |We really appreciated the 2 o'clock check in. We went to the dinner train and then we're able to come back and rest before the concert.

My granddaughter and I stayed in the Garden Room for 4 nights when we returned to Bardstown for my 55 th class reunion in July. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the lame jokes and tours with Paul. The entire staff was wonderful and we felt like we were visiting family - not just staying in a B&B. The breakfasts were fabulous and don’t forget to always say yes to the bourbon sauce. If you visit the Garden Room, I encourage you to pull up that loose brick and read all the notes to Joshua- a little boy that haunts the room. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our visit was here. Paul was so informative and helpful and always ready to snap your souvenir mug shot! Thank you so much Paul for making our stay so memorable!

We came to Bardstown to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. Very fortunately, we chose the Jailer’s Inn. This is a quaint, classy, friendly, historic, unusual, but Wonderful place. If you like modern, upscale, ritzy, five-star, extravagant, elaborate, superior rated, white glove accommodations, this ain’t it. I always look for a historic unique accommodation that will give us future memories. In Jailer’s Inn, I found it.||First of all, this was really a jail for hundreds of years; much of it is still there. The history is amazing.||But even better, the owner, Paul, is fantastic. He really cares about the place and will make your visit memorable. The jail tour is rather eye-opening; we’re talking about chains attached to floors and apparent public hangings! You will see historic jail rooms that are almost barbaric by today’s standards.||But your rooms are clean, reasonably upscale and cool. No in-room fridge - a full shareable fridge sits just outside your room, as does 7 am coffee service.||Perhaps the best, a full single menu breakfast is served each day. At 9 am. And you are treated to a full tour of the still existing rooms of the jail, a sobering experience. I’m pretty sure I have memorized most of Paul’s “Dad jokes,” but each day he comes up with something new. ||This is the place in Bardstown to go!

Very quick stay- just one night as we were passing through — but the service was great, the tour was so fun, and breakfast was AMAZING! The staff is incredibly attentive, and it’s in a wonderful location.

Breakfast was served outside in the courtyard, which made it even more special. The entire team was so kind and welcoming, and to top it all off, the property has the cutest bunnies hopping around. I even got to feed one, such a sweet surprise!

Thank you for such a cool tour of the jail and for making our short visit so memorable!

Old building in Bardstown turned into B&B. Rooms are very clean, decorated in the era but bathroom updated. Not a lot of outlets but we made do. Owner very nice, giving the history of the building and a tour of the jail area. Breakfast served outdoors in the courtyard. Food was excellent. Fruit, juice, muffins, French toast and an egg casserole. Bunnies roam the property but all in all a great experience. Would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our 16th wedding anniversary getaway. It's definitely an interesting place to stay with lots of history, and the location is perfect—easily walkable to Bardstown' shops, restaurants and bars. The breakfast staff was very friendly, the food was good, and I especially loved the cute bunnies they have hopping around in the courtyard!

That said, the welcome felt less than friendly and welcoming. And the minute you walk in, there’s a strong smoker smell. The smell once we were in our room wasn't as strong, but was still noticeable, and the furniture in our room felt worn out and stained.

While I appreciate that it’s a historical property, the rooms could really use new furniture and a bit of upkeep. Overall, it was a good weekend getaway, but I would not stay again.

The staff are wonderful and the included breakfast is great!
We rented the only room that is one of the actual cells. If you rent this room be aware you are not renting the Ritz. It is a cell with bunks. The linens are clean but it was a jail. We loved it because we had access to the actual part that used to be the area they kept prisoners. (We went for the paranormal experience)
It is a nice, little place and they have bunnies in the courtyard. They serve you breakfast under the shaded patio and it's relaxing. It backs up to an old cemetery and is next door to a historic tavern. Both of these places have a lot of history. We would recommend and if we're ever in the area well be back.

the stay was great room very nice. the only thing that disappointed us was the toilet seat kept coming apart. The manager came and fixed it but just didn't stay fixed|||the owner very nice and made us feel at home. I am bad with names think his name Ralph. Very knowledgeable about his inn and Bardstown. the food was good. We plan on coming back maybe in the fall. Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE. Will recommend to our friends.
