We came here for the AYCE option. Food and quality of the sushi was absolutely outstanding. Prices were great. Happy hour is also a wonderful deal. We will definitely be back. The only critique we have is that a few of our items did not come out with our first order of food but it came out the second time we put it through. They definitely seemed to be short handed the night we came in but the service of the staff, atmosphere and food quality was beyond worth it. Glad to have another all you can eat option so close by. Definitely recommend

Our hibachi chef was extremely friendly and put on a great show . We had two 3 year old toddlers with us and he was able to get them involved and smiling. Portions are similar to what you’d find at other similar restaurants. Plenty of seating, large menu, good food and pricing

The name of the business has changed to LAVA. This has been one of the best hibachi presentations we have been to. The staff was very friendly and the chefs were hilarious and fun. At the end he even made a balloon animal for my 4yr old!
The food was fantastic, they offer rice and noddles! Steak and shrimp were very flavorful.
Their drink list was great and the Sake was not expensive like most other places. They even offer a Sake flight sampler.
The chef made my 4 year old happy and laughing, and even though we didn't order her a meal (she's picky) he gave her all the extra rice and noodles and vegetables for free which was super nice.
This will be our go to hibachi place for the future.
The atmosphere was great, very spacious and decorated.

Returned to what is now called Lava last night for happy hour.. didn’t realize it was under new management and that there was a name change but we did want to try there. Buy one get one for a penny happy hour

I misunderstood. I thought that meant the food would be buy one get one, but it only applies to their drinks, however they do have a pretty extensive happy hour menu, and the food prices are reasonable. We had:
- Crunchy Spicy tuna roll: was ok I was expecting the crunch on top, but they had it combined with the tuna.
- veggie gyoza - good.. lightly fried
- shumai - good: usually these are steamed, but this also was lightly fried
- kanai salad: ok - There wasn’t much crab and I wasn’t over the moon with the creamy mayo flavor
- chicken yakitori - good: good and flavorful
- veggie fried rice - ok: there wasn’t that much vegetables and overall it was bland.
Saketini cocktails - good! Not too sweet at all

I would give it 3 stars for food. I don’t know yet if the change in management has anything to do with the food quality, will need to revisit and update my review but their staff is still friendly.. hence the 4 stars

Great dinner, especially with a group. Got the All You Can Eat with friends and everyone had a great time. Food was great and came out quick. The servers were nice and friendly with us. Will be going back again soon!

People dining in were in a separate room from the hibachi presentation, however it wasn't far enough away - the hibachi folks were obnoxiously & unnecessarily loud which interfered with the general dining area and experience

Aside from this - service was good...some staff were more knowledgeable than others and our server kept changing which was kind of annoying because our original person was really good

The food was tasty - we got the all you can eat and made it two rounds lol - it's worth a visit - id probably go for lunch rather than dinner just bc it'll probably be calmer at that time

Overall it was pleasant (again experienced odd and or avoidant looks from other patrons non-melinated but I think that's just the area)

Great place!, food was amazing they cater to food preferences, family friendly atmosphere. Our server ( Anna) was very friendly and professional. We have no complaints. Everything was clean and orderly. Went to celebrate my kid’s birthday and our Hibachi chef (Ollie) was extremely entertaining. Highly recommended.

On Saturday evening we decided to eat out at this hibachi restaurant without a reservation. They managed to arrange a table for our group of five people. Eating Hibachi was half about the food half about the entertainment. Our chef was okay, just doing the routine. Our guests were first time experiencing hibachi so it seemed they were entertained. But my husband and I had seen better showing. The food was delicious although to us all hibachi taste the same. The ingredients were fresh which was the most important. The noodle and rice came out in good portion. If you want both, it costs an extra $2. The portion for veggies and meat seemed have cut a little though.

The service was great. Special shout out to the young lady with glasses who served our table. She was super friendly and super patient with my little nephew. At the end she gave us a dessert for free. That was so nice of her.
