The service is hit or miss. Some of the staff are awesome and will do their best to help. Others... not so much. However, the markup is absolutely outrageous. I'm not normally one to complain about price - if you don't like it, don't shop there - but this is so egregious it needs to be pointed out. For example, they're asking $70 for 1L of Johnny Walker Double Black, whereas Kaman's in East Windsor is asking $65 for a 1.75L. That's almost double the size for $5 less. Most of their liquors follow a similar trend. This is wild, especially with how run down the inside of Liquor Ox is. If you're going to charge that much, at least make your store presentable inside.

The only way we can combat this kind of disgusting predatory business is to vote with our wallets. Save your money and drive a few extra minutes to a store that values their customers enough to keep a clean store and ask a fair price, because this place ain't it.

The price of the bottle of tequila I purchased for a gift, which I thought, because of the price, was a nice bottle. Turns out the bottle was almost a 100% mark up from the standard retail value. Later, I discovered other stores locally have this same bottle for no more than $55. This bottle here was priced at $99. I called to ask if I can do a return given the mark up was outrageous and they refused. Beware of shopping here. While they may have a good selection, they are not consumer friendly with their prices. I am all for supporting, small, local business's and can understand a slightly higher mark-up but a 100% mark-up is unreasonable and dishonest. Beware.

Prices are ridiculously high! They wanted 3 times what I paid for a bottle at another store. When I asked why, they said you can’t find it anywhere right now, and people are paying for it. I’m not paying a hundred dollars for a 34 dollar bottle. Could be why they still have 5 bottles on the shelf. Good luck!
