Mikey is my teenage son's favorite barber. Mikey is attentive to details and an all around great guy. My son loves the atmosphere there and it's the only place he likes going. Definitely recommend.

One day last month or a little later I had an appointment with Mike the owner for a haircut. I called and let him know that I would be late that day. He agreed and said its okay and that I can come in for a haircut. I arrive to the shop and forgot to get out money from the bank. I said to Mike loud and clear, "I forgot to get money out for my haircut I will be right back". He did not say anything to me. I left and came back with the money for the haircut, and he tells me that I am too late and he cannot take me. I said, "Okay" and walked out.

A month or a little later I call his shopped a few times for a haircut and cannot get to him. It automatically goes into voicemail. Which is weird. I called his shop by making my phone number private, and he answered the phone. I hanged up. I called again without putting my phone number in private, and I was sent into voicemail once again. Mike blocked me just because I was late that day. Instead of being professional, not about nonsense, and about business he could of just rescheduled me that day or just accept my phone call for a haircut at a later date. He is petty and unprofessional for blocking me.

Don’t expect the time you made your appointment to be the time you get your haircut; this guy is SLOW, I’m talking over an hour for a guys basic fade. That being said, he does a really good job, but when you show up at 4:20 for a 4:30 cut, and don’t walk out till 6 because there’s already somebody in the chair, don’t be surprised. He’s cut my hair twice, both times were good cuts, but it just seems to take forever for the amount of work done.

it was 30 bucks for a haircut and it was worth it, he really putts his time and effort in for it to come out perfect. the whole place feels welcome just when you walk in and there’s a tv so you don’t get bored while you wait. i am amazed with my haircut, honestly the best barber shop around.

My man at Marinos Barbershop definitely knows his stuff, his shop is clean and very well kept and his skills are on point. And much to my surprise he knows how to provide a brutha with a nice fade. This is the first time in my life that i have ever been able to get haircut in Putnam. I would recommend him to any other of my fellow Black & Brown peoples in the area...REAL TALK!!!

The proprietor cares a lot about his work. He provides many services for men's grooming that other barber shops do not. Most of the hair cutting is done mechanically, with motorized cutters. Personally, I am more comfortable with a combination of motorized and scissor work - for layering around the ears. Further, I absolutely hate being sprayed with cold water during the haircut. That said, he tries to give a good cut. I do want to note that 2022 prices are well (more than 30%) above 2021's. A reasonable choice for barbering, but not my 1st choice.
