Kind of a backwards place for me— atmosphere is the best out of all sushi spots in the area. The sushi was just okay to me— all their special rolls seem so similar with multiple types of fish, wasn’t what I was looking for.
The spicy edamame, sashimi and seaweed salad were the highlights for me. I would come back but not for specialty rolls… hope this helps!

Mikado is an established piece of Middletown history. I have been going to eat there for over 20years. I started brining my kids when they were infants, and now they both love sushi @ 10 and 12! The menu reads like a book, and its all decent quality. The atmosphere and the decor are always on point. Sushi and Sashimi specials are the way to go. We love the Sweet Heart roll, gotta get the eddamame, nigiri or yakortori as all are good starters. Their lunch specials with 2 roll combos including soup or salad are an amazing deal. Whats not to love?

Sushi is great! Salmon dinner was really good. The fried veggies in tempura were kind of big and didn't fry well. Rick shrimp was good but very small portions.

Great menu with lots of different sushi options and dinners. Me and my sister got the ‘peach sunrise’ frozen drink and it faintly reminded me of the taste of beer but in a good way, and it came with this little strawberry sticks in the whipped cream. I got the Chicken Pad Thai which had some egg and peanuts in the noodles. We had a pleasant server and the food came out fast. A little bit more on the expensive side though.

Our first time here. We sat at the sushi bar and were pleasantly surprised. The food, drinks and service were all awesome, the food was quite tasty and looked awesome. We will be back for more. A+

I enjoy Mikado. It is my go to for Sushi while in Middletown. I've always had a good experience there. Food is always delicious and the environment is top notch.

Quality and service hasn't been the same last few years. I've dined in and taken out since they opened and I think I'm finally done. Have had to wait 10+ minutes (despite 'ready' notification) for online orders last 3 times. Walk in to staff joking while sitting on the floor? Not busy yet no one doing anything . Last 3-roll maki lunch was sloppy w rolls coming apart w a touch and exposing brown avocado and soggy cucumber. So disappointed bc they were always great in the past.
