Awful service! Was told my recall would be 2-3 hours. 5.5 hrs and still waiting. B/C I left they put folks area of me. If I had waited it would have a been the 2-3 hours. Called at 1:15 to check on car- said it would be ready by 5:00. They hadn’t started on my car b/c I left. If, I had waited it would have been pushed up. Come to find out at 1:15 they hadn’t even started on my car. Had to cancel my plans for the everyday b/c I live 2 hours away.
Want be back- Atlanta is the way to go.

After receiving the best care from the service center in Atlanta, I was extremely hesitant to begin receiving service from a different service center. This one is not exclusive to Mini, which greatly affects the experience. The service charges are higher. And the last service I took my car in for was half done, which resulted in me driving with a hazard light on. I just wish there was a true Mini service center here. This one is the pits.

We ordered a new Mini and were kept up to date on its details and date of arrival. When we went to pick it up everything was exactly as had been described. Our sales person was there waiting for us and went through a comprehensive introduction to the car. It was a great experience and good fun. Love my new little 2-door Mini.
Oct 15th, 2024 Update: still love my Mini and it is still perfect after many long trips in the USA.

I had a great time at MINI of Birmingham! Valerie Wallace was patient with me as I tried to remember how to operate a stick shift. She and I laughed at my minor mistakes, and I had a ball! She helped me get into the car I wanted, and she didn't pressure me to look at something else. I loved the experience of working with other women. Both my salesperson and my finance "guy" were women. I say "guy" because I am always told to see "our finance guy." This experience was a complete joy, and as you can see from my picture, I am totally stoked to have my new ride. I am blessed by God!! Thank you, ladies!!

Getting service is not such a chore when there is a nice bright lobby to wait, with large tv screen, magazines, and comfortable chairs. They have complementary coffee, water, and snacks...even a hydration station and nice welcome for my dog! Waiting lobby is conveniently arranged between service center and showroom; has fun Mini swag / gear like shirts and wheels. Large, easy access restrooms near waiting area. Pleasant to stroll around car lot dreaming of a new Mini while you wait too. Of course I wish service prices were lower. But I can't complain, my 2009 6-speed Mini Cooper Clubman is still going strong. And Dion Belcher is great, he is like an expert service manager and friendly host in one--treats you right, and lets you know what's going on with your car start to finish.

My tire had a screw in it. I brought it into Mini on a Thursday and they took it right away to check it out. I waited only briefly before they told me it would be Monday before the tire was in. I was given a loaner vehicle to drive - same kind as my current car, so that was very nice. The tire was delayed, but I picked up my repaired Countryman on Tuesday. Picking it up and paying took 15 mins max. My car was washed and everything was great. Dion at Mini is amazing and I always appreciate the great customer service.

I have purchased 4 cars from this dealership.

The first 2 went perfect. But the salesperson I used left and the last two purchases, both within the last year, were horrible.

The dealership only had one key to each vehicle. They promised they would order additional keys but never followed up. After repeated calls, they now say I will have to purchase an extra fob for nearly $400 each.

The collection of dealers have condensed their finance department and don’t seem to know much about finance. They don’t follow up on calls, have a very limited selection and pay no attention to personal requests. And after you purchase a vehicle, they’re done. The salespeople have absolutely no desire to commit to the things they said they’d do.

The service department is very good, if you are inclined to paying dealer prices for small repairs, but other than that, you get better service and knowledge if you use an online car shopping service.
