This was a place that I was excited to visit! I had heard so many reviews, positive and negative, but I like to check things out for myself to make my own review! I had family in from Alaska and they had heard of new Black Wall Street as well, so we made it a group trip! We visited the location on Thursday morning! On the website, it stated that it open at 11 o’clock so we decided to get there around 11:30 thinking everything will be fresh and ready to go for us! Upon arrival, the outside of the building was not very welcoming, the parking lot was empty and we became concerned immediately! The entrance of the building is absolutely beautiful! The person who put this together, took a lot of thought in the inside architecture! There were multiple shops with multiple business ideas, but there were only two people in their actual booth! The place was totally deserted!!!! we went to support black businesses, and we supported the one black business that was actually in their store when we came around! A lot of the locations on the inside sign saying they weren’t gonna open until later or that weekend or they’re not opening anymore. Everything is online! For people to hear about this great place and then come a great distance and not see the great things that are talked about was kind of heartbreaking! We would love to support black businesses. You just have to be open to receive the support! If you open at 11, you should be there at 9 o’clock setting up preparing for the day! I’m sure rent is not cheap in there so be there to make the money! As hard as times are right now if you have people willing to shop, you need to be there willing to cash them out!! I would like to go back on a weekend to see if there’s any difference!

Went during the week, and it was slower than normal. Most of the vendors were not there. Great way to support black business.

As first time visitors, we enjoyed the experience and interaction with the business owners. Their energy, products and services were simply amazing! The pride of ownership was felt at every stop. We happily spent money at The New Black Wall Street Market. It was an honor to support the local businesses. While the market did have a flea market vibe, the experience was well worth the time and money spent. There were so many empty and closed spaces. Hopefully, this is an opportunity that is economically feasible for small black businesses owners. The fashion show, food, clothing, accessories and art were all impressive✨

Lithonia Georgia's best kept secret, that shouldn't be kept. The mom and pop shops are flowing with beautiful jewelry, clothing, great original art, delicious food, and sweet treats, such as gourmet popcorn. There are several specialty services, such as a flex special hall that doubles as an event hall and a place to show case music. There's even a place to hire a PI to find possible lost relatives or even unknown relatives.

I just love the Black Wall Street. The idea is so dope and we need more places for us to shop now more than ever. Recently The downfall is that there aren't enough shops or patrons. We need to build this place back up and circulate our money with us. We have to come together and support us. ❤️💪🏾

This has the potential to be something great, they just need more entertainment and things to do there. Hoping they don’t shut this down due to lack of support.

I love the concept behind the Black Wall Street Market- however it will take more unity & different specialties to bring it all together.

Very spacious & well maintained but it gave flea market vibes more than anything.

The vendors were all very friendly & pricing was very reasonable.

This place has been open 5 years with no growth and only a gradual decline in available businesses… it’s very sad to see. You don’t even see the Mathew Guy or the light skin lady anymore… it’s one thing for businesses to not stick around but when the staff and management teams
are creating separation there are some serious underlining issues. You can force the idea of community development if you are not make great efforts to accomplish the goal. It seems like this market was a tool to get grants and state funding while getting rent from the tenants/businesses and they had very little care for actually creating minority based businesses in the area. I’ve read countless reviews and articles about this process and it’s extremely disheartening. Something that could have created great resources in the community ended up being a waste of a lot of the communities time. It’s time to shut this place down honestly and I hope it’s sooner than later… the roof still leaks when it rains and I seen that on the news years ago..it’s about time to release this idea from the area and create something that would actually benefit Stonecrest Ga… because we have had more Crooks I. This short period of time than we should have ever been allowed.
