This place is depressing. Dingy, dark, holes in the floor, smells like an old, wet basement. Wilted vegetables, miserable fruit. There was a bag of something on one of the shelves that looked like a rodent got into the contents. The staff had an attitude and is obviously past caring for anything. They wouldn't slice anything because we were there shortly before closing. If it's your place- it needs a total overhaul.
If you are planning to shop for Polish fare do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are plenty of options within walking distance.

My husband and I went in for 1st time. We were looking for a pork shoulder. Food I saw in freezer was freezer burned. We went up to meat counter stood there for 10 mins as the lady behind it ignored us. I saw some desserts I was going to get. When a lady from other side of store asked us what do you need? Asked for a pork shoulder, she picks up small piece. Said it was not big enough. She had a serious attitude and didn't even ask if we wanted anything else and rolled her eyes at us. I was going to buy some desserts,but she was rude and the other lady looked thru us. Never again will I go there. I will stick with Martin Russell.

Very nice small grocery store with many unique foods at reasonable prices that you can't find in grocery stores. I like having small markets like this to be able to go to instead of the big impersonal stores, The staff is all very nice and helpful, I only wish I was fluent in Polish so I could speak with them more! Great place to shop and give your business to.
