Will be a great koa when they are done updating. There was a bit of construction going on. We did have trouble with our gray tank hookup and cable. They were right on it and fixed both issues right away. They also have a free convenient shuttle service!

Roomy sites with picnic tables and fire pits. The grounds were clean and well maintained. They have a self-serve dog wash, showers and hiking trails. Very quiet at night.

Looks like they had some great amenities in- season but it was wrapping up as we got there. An intersting mix of seasonal and regular campers. Some enhanced standards for the long term campers would help.

Our experience at this natic KOA campground was exceptional!
The service we received was the best we've ever had at any KOA. The whole family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They helped us set up the air conditioning unit on the RV roof and when it didn't fit help us to take it down and ups store!
The attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction was truly amazing. We felt genuinely spoiled and cared for during our Stay. The father the Daugther and the wife all were amazing.

Great family run campground ! Shuttle for getting around is great you don't have to deal with parking. Bathrooms are clean and the pool is amazong !1 Only down fall (which if not easy to deal with) is the WIFI was very bad didn't work at all at our site.

I recently stayed at Niantic KOA and had a very pleasant experience. I found that the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Sites are nice size and the location is great for the area. I am looking forward to staying here again.

Good people. Good location. And good services. I got here a little late and the food cart stayed after hours so I could get a quick bite to eat. Bubbles, one of the people working here is a very salt of the earth guy and helped me get situated. I had some issues with my car and the staff helped me fix it. I stayed in one of canvas tents and the conditions were clean and well put together, which is more than I can say about some of the hotels in the area. Next time I visit Groton/Mystic area I definitely will stay here again.

The glamping tent was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the site was quiet in late April. They provided heated mattress pads, which was nice, because it was freezing the first night. That being said, this place was not what I expected. I’ve only been camping once and in the literal wilderness with a guide named deppy who led us like a mile into relatively untouched woods where I stayed with a general sense of enjoyable terror. Thus, when I read glamping, I really expected more of a wilderness retreat where I wouldn’t have to see or hear anyone else except birds and animals: but that is not what this is. This KOA is what appears to be a Large RV park with 2 glamping tents - you are surrounded by RV’s, most appear long term (they have brick and mortar extensions). You are not nestled in nature; you’re on a medium sized lot between a main road in the middle of a smallish town. There’s nothing wrong with this place and the fire pit, the included grill, and the sound of rain on the tent was worth the $268 2 night stay for me. The general store also has all the necessities, plus a snow cone machine. So, if you’re looking for wilderness - no, this is not it. If you’re looking to mimic camping with no view of the forest but the convenience of onsite running water and a communal bathroom and a pool in an RV park, you’ve found a gem. Definitely enjoyed it.
