This haunted trail exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was electric—dim lights, eerie sounds, and an unsettling sense of anticipation filled the air.

The winding path was lined with creepy props and actors in chilling costumes, each jump scare more effective than the last.

If you’re up for a spooky adventure, this haunted trail is the place to be. I left with my heart racing and already planning my next visit!

My family had a great time last night at Nightmares Gate. This family created this wonderful creepy walk through to scare the crap out of all of us! Great work! Great actors! I can't wait to come back next year! I wish I could be apart of this!! If you haven't been you have until 10/27/2024 get your tickets now and support their hard work!!!

An awesome haunt! I make it a point to try to go to every haunt in CT every year and Nightmare's Gate immediately earned a place in my top 3 haunts! I'm excited to see how this haunt grows in the years to come. Can't wait to come back next year! Only thing to note when planning your trip here is to be prepared to walk since it is a bit of a hike back to your car after the trail but it's totally worth the walk!

This review is overdue, but my girlfriend and I had the BEST time at Nightmare's Gate! We have been to maybe 5 different haunted attractions like this in CT over the last few years, and this one was BY FAR the best. The trail was nice and long, with very cool creepy transitional sectinos between the main areas. Decorations were totally perfect.

Actors were awesome too! They were all super committed and scary! One girl screamed just a little too loudly considering how close she was to my ear, which did ring for a few seconds afterwards. I didn't mind, but I could imagine some other people might not like that. The scream itself was totally awesome in terms of the effect and the character she was playing, I'd just say to be a bit more careful with how close you are to people when going for that move. Again, not an issue at all for me, just trying to help them avoid a possible issue with someone else in the future. Overall, 10/10 experience, worth every penny. Can't believe this was their first year and that they put it together in a relatively short amount of time.

What an attraction for your Halloween itch! Yes, definitely worth checking out.
The details in the houses and the commitment of the performers was incredible.
I had a chat with one of the organizers at the end, all the while the last actor never broke character, lol. Too cool 😎
This place delivers on the scare factor for ypu, and your visit goes to supporting local efforts to help restore their farm lands. Win-win for everyone!

Nightmare's Gate is a great haunt where the actors are professional and stay in character, the make-up and special effects were amazing and realistic. The only thing I would say is that the walk back to your car is a bit hilly and long. However, Nightmare's Gate in Nortford, CT is definitely worth visiting this season.
