I had been going to Nina’s for about 2 years, this past summer I had acrylics put on. The last time I went I had them removed and ended up with an infection. The technician filed my nails, so thin, here it is November and my right hand pinky nail is falling off and bleeding. I had to go on antibiotics for a cellulitis infection in September. The picture nail fell off and is growing back and now my right hand pinky is loose. I’m never returning to that salon.

I had a lot of hope for this place because of the relatively good reviews overall but I honestly can’t recommend this to anyone. This was my first time getting my nails done, let alone acrylics and I should have just turned around and left. I called ahead to see if I needed to make an appointment, and she said to just walk in, and that the service would cost $50. Nina was getting her nails done as I walked in and was barefoot as she did my nails. It took an hour and a half, and it felt really rough the whole time. I wanted a rounded almond shape with a black French tip, no design, and Nina wanted to add designs anyway. She tried but I ended up asking her to remove it because it didn’t really look good. The nail desk thing was very disorganized and she had to dig around for the tools required. The uv light to activate the acrylic or gel she was using kept turning off seemed like it needed to be replaced. Overall the place seemed to be in need of a really deep clean and an organizational treatment. They also had some pretty funky 80s music in a language that I couldn’t place playing relatively loudly the whole time so it made it hard to communicate with Nina. At the end of the service she put really yellow cuticle oil on my nails and asked me how I was going to pay, I gave her my card and she charged it $60 and immediately went into the back. Never saw her again. From this visit I learned that I can leave a place if it seems sketchy and that if your gut is telling you to go you probably should.

Cleanliness- 2/10
Tools didn’t look clean and I can only imagine how many people they were used on

Nails- 2/10
Shape was kind of off and the design looked smudged and undefined

Atmosphere- 2/10
The area didn’t seem clean and the air smelled like nails, the music was very present

I just went to get them fixed because I’m afraid of getting an infection. That said, she seemed like a nice person, she just isn’t the worlds best nail artist. Good luck to all who try Nina Nails.

I asked for a full set and was basically told I was also getting a pedicure. Obviously it is my fault for not speak up, but I felt very uncomfortable saying no. The nail tech did not prep my cuticles at all, was very rough with the nail tools and the shaping was off. Once my nails were shaped she had me sit for my pedicure with a different tech, which was fine. I was never asked if I wanted regular polish or gel and I didn’t know it was gel until the light came out. The pedicure itself came out okay, looks wise, which is why I’m being generous with the two star review. She did cut the cuticles, but ever since my big toe on my left foot has been killing me. I hope it’s just from her cutting my skin and not an infection. Once I sat down for my nails again the tech didn’t even do a once over before she started painting them. The color and design are close to what I asked for, but the nails are VERY chunky and uneven. Once they start to grow out it’s going to be atrocious and I will be shocked if I can go 2 weeks before a fill. After all of this, she tells me it is going to $110 (which would be fine if they looked good) and that they only take cash. I had to walk across the busy street to the ATM in the liquor store to grab cash. Besides my nails not even looking good, being ridiculously expensive, and essentially being shamed into getting a pedicure…the establishment itself is gross. It felt very unclean and unorganized. I don’t think any of the tools were sanitized. The woman for my pedicure grabbed something out of a random bucket on the floor and then threw it back in after, so I can only imagine how many people it was used on. My nail tech had to dig around to find anything/everything she needed and she used random tools just sitting in a dish covered in nail dust that I am 99% sure she used on the client before me. All in all, I will never return. Save yourself the trouble and find a cleaner place to spend your money.

My tech did my gel acrylic set and was so nice and professional! She continuously asked throughout her work if I would like to make any changes. Love my nails!

Instagram worthy nails ❤️❤️ Louis and Nina know what’s up! I’ve never been disappointed. Got mine done for all occasions: prom, vacation to Disney, ceremonies, dances, weddings. Very good and mine last for 4+ weeks. I suggest Louis for nail designs and Nina for shape. They’ve been doing my nails practically since I’ve been born.

My tech is the sweetest - fun to talk to, always remembers my preferences even though she has so many customers, and does a great job every time. There's really no other place I trust going to around here!
