The following is my experience, review and my own opinion of Northeast Taxidermy Studios (also known as Coast to Coast Fish Mounts). Initially, I ordered a 24 inch Spanish Mackerel for my son. It arrived, and was decent job. Our next years trip to FL we went snapper fishing, young daughter caught a very nice Vermillion snapper and son caught a 40 inch red snapper, so I placed an order with Northeast Taxidermy Studios for both. Approximately a year later they arrived but the crate was severely damaged, called Northeast Taxidermy Studios to inform of damage, which I was sent a label to ship back for replacement, but what I was very disturbed with was the representation and quality of a vermillion & red snapper. Simply horrible, both fish had same bad brown and maroon color scheme – see picture below. I talked to owner’s wife Lowery and I asked for my money back due the poor quality of the mounts, she wanted her husband Joe to talk to me. He called and gave me a sob story about his business has gotten too big since they bought Coast to Coast and the quality of the work is suffering and he was going to personally redo both fish. I demanded pics before sending redos back, the vermillion was OK, and I accepted it but the red snapper was again a horrible representation, dark with black stripes (not vibrant red/orange), total joke, but they assured me it looks great in person. I refused the product, they were apologetic and offered to return my deposit. So I thought, maybe they did try and it just didn’t work again, and since they had my money, I ordered a 41 inch redfish – provided reference pictures of the red fish and again got the personal offer of Joe doing the work himself. Well, one long year later and all of the sudden shipment from Northeast Taxidermy Studios arrives, they sent me no picture of the final product to approve before sending. I opened create, and instead of a redfish, it looked like a got a green fish. Another horrible job, looks nothing like the reference picture, or any other redfish (see pictures). So at my great expense, I sent it back to Northeast Taxidermy Studios. I asked for my deposit money back and my response from the owner Joe was “If you took it out of the box, you would see that it matches your photo nicely” and that he has been doing this for 40 years and HE knows what a redfish is supposed to look like and I am wrong. What? Look at the pictures! Are you kidding? So, my opinion and experience, another very bad quality job, no picture sent for approval before sending, the end customer (me) was either stuck with a horrible mount as the cost to send a 41 inch redfish back was $400. So I did send the fish back for $400 and NE Taxidermy is keeping my deposit money. I’ve moved on and looked elsewhere for the redfish mount, life is too short for bad taxidermy. I am out over ~$800 and certainly would never even consider anything to be done by Northeast Taxidermy Studios even if they offer for free – too many other quality operations to choose from. I am fussy about details as is my wife. I have used taxidermists across the east, and Joe and Lowry are the best there is, no matter what you want! I have over 50 mounts, all fair chase, and THEY are the ones I trust!

First time using Northeast Taxidermy and we are 100% satisfied . My son caught a state record Blackfish that we released. The quality of Joe's work blew our mind considering he went off pictures and measurements. We highly recommend Northeast Taxidermy.

Picked up my black bear rug this past weekend and couldn't be happier with how it came out. It took less time than they originally told me, which was nice. Cost seemed to be slightly higher than other taxidermists that I reached out to, but I'm glad to pay the premium to ensure that things are done right. I will definitely have future mounts done here when the time comes. Thank you again.

Lawrie was fantastic, discussing the entire process in order to ensure my elk mount was exactly the way I wanted it to be.
The finished mount is exceptional with extreme attention to details.
I have several other mounts from other taxidermists, and they pale in comparison to the realistic and beautiful mount from Northeast Taxidermy!
