I highly recommend this jeweler. I had given up on finding someone who could fix my husband’s wooden watch. Other jewelers dismissed me and said that I wouldn’t be able to find anyone who could do that for me. I sent a message to Northern Light Gems asking if they could help. I got an immediate response telling me they CAN fix a wooden watch. I drove there, thinking I’d have to drop it off and pick it up later. To my delight, the owner fixed it and replaced the band, (which was another challenge) as I waited! A few minutes later, the watch was fixed and looked brand new! The charge was lower than I expected too! Watch repairmen are a rare breed. I’m so glad I found this Gem!

I had a great experience at Northern Light Gems. My wife’s ring needed to have the setting tightened and some diamonds replaced. Tony was pleasant and nice to deal with. He gave me a very reasonable quote and finished the work in just a couple of days. I think I’ve found my new jeweler. Thank you!

I am glad that others didn't share the same experience I did - which was one of the worst in my adult life. Non-existent communication, rudeness when I would call to find out the status of my repair after months. No contact when the repair was done, to inform me of the much higher price than I was earlier told. I would think twice or three times before you go there. Terrible.

Tony and his team are top-notch for not only professional and friendly customer service, but he has gone above and beyond to create a one-of-a-kind ring for me! It far exceeds my expectations. I had several different cut, color, and size gems (peridot, tanzinite, diamond, sapphire) that I wanted set in a non-traditional setting that was NOT symmetrical but more unique. He found the center stone and worked with me on various designs until I was happy! And I am in a different state (Texas)! Seriously, go to Tony and his team, you will NOT be disappointed, whether it is diamonds earrings (which I also purchased), rings, or a custom piece, Northern Lights is the only place to go!!!!

The owner was fantastic! I needed a watch engraved for a destination wedding with only a few days before leaving the country. The owner made me feel valued as a customer and provided the service within a day. The craftsmanship and care he provided was absolutely second to none. The inventory in his shop are quality and priced very well. I will be returning to this "gem" of a find in downtown New London. If you are looking for a jeweler who trulywants to cater to your needs look no further. You will not be disappointed.
