I had the worse experience a couple weeks back when I went into offline by aerie. The moment I walked into the store I was automatically bombarded by a sales representative asking if I needed help. My first response was “no, thank you I’m all set”.. about 5 minutes later, I was approached again while going through some of the clothing asking if they could get the sizes I was looking for; again my response was “ no, thank you I’m all set”. Then another 2 minutes goes by and another representative came up and asked the same question. Now this is the third time I’ve kindly said “no” to being helped. About another 2 minutes went by and I was asked again by the same person for the 4th time in a row. By this point while attempting to shop for myself and a friend, I got annoyed and at that moment decided I was done shopping when I had the intentions of buying a lot but chose not too because I wasn’t being allowed to freely browse and shop through a store. I was automatically off putted and then treated with disrespect because I denied helped 4 times and the staff that was working that day was mad that I went through the piles. As someone who used to work for aerie, I was appalled by the demeanor and rudeness that these girls had all because I didn’t want their help. I understand they get commission, and that’s the incentive to sell more. But these girls need to learn how to communicate. The more you push a customer, the more likely they are to be unsatisfied and not buy anything which is exactly what happened with me.

Lily was great, helped me yesterday to find clothes for a trip im taking. I was super last minute, and was scared I wouldn’t find anything. She thankfully greeted me and asked what I was looking for. Immediately after telling her I was shopping for tops for a trip she gave me a couple recommendations. I am super picky, but she found me a couple tops that I feel in love with. She is amazing at her job, she knows her stuff. She was able to find me tops that I can wear even after my trip. I usually never buy anything in store, because sometime I just get overwhelmed and end up shopping online. But she was so helpful and narrowed down a couple tops for me. It was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had in this location.
