During our impromptu stop in Palisade, we decided to visit a local market renowned for its fresh peaches. The market was a paradise for peach lovers, offering an incredible variety of peach-themed products, including jams, sauces, pies, ice cream, and even peach-flavored coffee. We couldn't resist indulging in fresh peaches, which were perfectly ripe and bursting with flavor.

In addition to the peaches, we treated ourselves to a coffee and some delicious peach ice cream, both of which provided a refreshing pick-me-up during our visit. The market featured a wide array of local goods, such as honey, jams, pickled items, and wines from the region. There were also plenty of unique gift items to browse through. While the market didn’t have indoor seating, there was a charming outdoor area in the back, equipped with tents and picnic tables, where visitors could relax and enjoy their purchases.

We spent a delightful amount of time exploring the shop, as there was so much to see and taste. The staff was friendly and efficient, adding to the pleasant experience. The peaches were undoubtedly the highlight—juicy and mouthwateringly delicious, they embodied the essence of a perfect summer fruit.

Our visit to this market made for a memorable first experience in Palisade. While there are many other attractions and places to explore in town, this market offered a quintessential taste of the region's renowned peach offerings. It was a stop well worth making, and we left feeling glad to have sampled some of the best produce Palisade has to offer.

Was told to stop in Palisade for the peaches on my way through and I wasn’t disappointed! Great selection of local fresh fruits, pies, desserts, coffee, and more.
They even had free sample of fruit too bruised to sell.
This is the closest spot to the road and also probably the nicest, but there are other fruit sellers nearby.

On our way from Glenwood Springs, we stopped to get gas and saw this cute store across the street. We got in, they had wine, and fruits, honey, etc. I thought the prices were a bit steep, but then it’s nice, and we appreciate and support the local businesses and workers. So, at the end I bought a little jar of honey( $8.99) and my girlfriend had a three peaches in a bag. They looked delicious! So I grabbed them and went to the cashier. At the end $20! I was wow, $3 a peach. They must be amazing. They were not at all better than the once from the grocery store. Not even better! What a rip off! Really?!

You don't come to the valley without stopping here first. All my guests who come to town, must make a drop at the peach shack! They are always so nice to us and our dogs. Wine samples are fun! Great stop for fresh fruit, great wine, and peach pie!!!!! (The take and bake is a must)

Just passing through this day. Great summer stop for Peaches, other local fruit and veggies, local wine, ice cream (peach was the best) and other local treats like jams and salsas. The new owner is extremely friendly and also the new owner to the winery across the street with more wine choices and other local food novelties.

Gas station nearby for passing through travelers. Great stop for ALL your needs. Excellent Pit Stop for sure!
