Rio Rapids under the new management is an absolute gem! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and refreshingly honest. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the table-side guacamole is a must-try—fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection right before your eyes.

The lobster dish? Simply out of this world! Every bite was a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and creativity.

I had been to Rio Salado, but never noticed Rio Rapido on the other side of the restaurant towards the bottom. This is way better than the restaurant in my opinion. They have burritos, tacos, and tortas, which are made fresh and ready to go. I recommend the carnitas torta and a lime jarrito. Will definitely be back!

These were the best vegan tacos I've ever had. The crispy cauliflower with melted vegan cheese and whatever magic sauce they used was the tastiest combination I could dream of. Unfortunately found this place on a road trip so can't go back very often, but I'm counting the days until I can. Only waited about 10 minutes for our food and the place was a vibe. The only bad thing about this place was I could've eaten 3x as much. It was that good.

What happened?!?! I will now be the second person to mention this. The portion sizes have gone down DRAMATICALLY. You used to be able to get a huge burrito/ bowl and giant bag of chips for essentially the same price as chipotle but now I’m leaving hungry! Cutting portion sizes is no way to operate a business. If you need to charge slightly more to adjust to the economy, then do that instead. I used to come here regularly and drive 40 mins to do so but unfortunately this will be my last.

Me and my partner came here (Rio Rapido) for a quick bite to eat and were absolutely blown away! Not only were the flavors absolutely amazing on the adobo chicken torta and the vegan chorizo, we were also stoked to find out the $2 side of house tortilla chips were not a hand full of chips, but a whole bag! They were delicious and went perfectly with their amazing guac. We will absolutely be returning and recommending this to everyone as a 1,000x better alternative to Chipotle and any other fast Mexican food restaurant.

Flavors were excellent. We had a carnitas burrito and a chicken torta. Both were excellent, and their hot sauce was 🔥! My only criticism was that the portions were a bit smaller than your average burrito or torta, but still totally enough for this large man for lunch.

We will definitely be back on our next trip to the area.

We went in here really liking the atmosphere, the chips and guac were delicious but the Cast Iron Chicken Tinga was not it for me. No flavor. I really did not enjoy it. They had great reviews. We were in a group, we left dissatisfied. Maybe an off night.
