Easy to find. Ample parking. We all tried custard for the first time today, and can never go back to ice cream again. So rich. So delicious.
They had lots of flavors. Service was phenomenal 🤌 Super friendly, patient with my questions, and everything came with a smile. Huge covered area to sit with like 10 picnic tables, string lights and a bug zapper. The other side had a gazebo type of thing with a more romantic feel to it. Regular food as well, but we did not order any this time. We will definitely go out of our way to come here again when it's time for a cold treat!

My summer-long search for Connecticut roadside eateries led me to a beautiful location today and some tasty food!

Scottie's Frozen Custard offers a variety of lunch options at a decent price. Sadly, I did not save room for a frozen custard, so I guess I must return soon... 😉

Today, I ordered the 6 ounce Angus burger, Fries Frenzy (seasoned, breaded fries), and large soft drink. Honestly, this would be my new nomination for best burger in Connecticut. And possibly best french fries, as well. Delicious! It came to $16 and change, which is comparable, given the larger burger.

Eat here once, and you will be a customer for life!!!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the car. I had the mac n cheese bites, chili cheese fries, and bacon Cheeseburger. The bites were similar to any of these types of places. Frozen and heated up, they are OK but nothing special. The fries were decent, chili not so much. The burger was quite good, juicy with a char, and a very nice flavor. The girls that took care of me were exceptionally pleasant and upbeat. On a scale of 0-10 this rates a 6.1.

Colchester classic! They do frozen custard - if you haven't tried it, you should. This is the kind of place my parents used to take me to as a kid. Had the Turtles sunday - vanilla custard, butter pecans, carmel, hot fudge and whipped cream. It was amazing. Probably could have eaten another. Nice sitting area too - covered, with plenty of picnic tables which looked like they had been newly refinished. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Connecticut.

We stopped by Scotties Frozen Custard today and had an excellent experience!! Our family loved the food!!! Their shrimp burger is the best one I’ve ever had ❤️Highly recommended!!

After a day at the lake, we stumbled across Scotties Frozen Custard. We loved it! The creamy and richness of the custard was out of this world. I wish it was in a more diverse area. It sucks being looked at like a dinosaur based on the color of your skin. I was brought up not to see color, but I realize that's not everyone's lesson in life. I struggled writing this post because I believe the food and experience go hand in hand. The turtle signature sundae was great, but was a little heavy on the pecans.

I go to Scottie’s a bunch being fortunate to live nearby. I ordered dinner online for takeout tonight after a long day, and pulled in to a packed house. All the staff was still extremely friendly, the food was superbly prepared, and my order was ready early despite the rush. The people who run this stand, from the cooks down to those who wash dishes, are fantastic and extremely pleasant. Highly highly recommend!
