Hopefully Shogun Hibachi can survive in this location that has so many other restaurants come and go, because it's a really good place. Inside atmosphere is clean, modish lighting and has peaceful music playing. Service was very friendly. Salad is fresh with a nice citrusy ginger dressing. Clear soup is tasty, you just have to get past the smell a little bit. Hibachi serving sizes are a full plateful. Filet is tender, salmon is moist and chicken tastes great also. Each plate has a good amount of rice, noodles and vegetables. You won't be hungry afterwards. Unfortunately the Tempura Cheesecake is a letdown. It has great presentation on the plate... but the inside was half melted liquid and half frozen. Definitely would not get that again. Overall Shogun Hibachi tasted great for dinner with smiling friendly service.

Got Mango shrimp and drunken noodles with chicken. Both were awesome. Portion for mango shrim was a bit small but extremely flavorful and fresh! Next time will order some curry dish.

Pineapple fried Rice taste dry as if they used a different rice than the sticky rice. Very disappointing, I was looking forward to this dish because I've had it before from here and it was really good. This time it's just a dish of sadness and disappointment. Maybe due to inflation they changed something to make it cheaper.

They definitely put the “sweet” in Thai. I would have preferred more heat instead. The duck had a wonderfully crisp skin.

I ordered Mongolian Beef w/ crispy noodles. I got an entrée with 90% onion, 5% noodles, 5% beef. This picture was taken after I was done which I should have taken before but this is an excessive amount of onions still. I paid $14 for onions...

I love this place!!! I’ve dined in before and the service is so friendly and quick! The Thai iced tea is literally to die for as well as their crab Rangoon appetizer! I definitely recommend dining in but the best part is even ordering out is phenomenal! I’ve ordered out quite a few times and it’s always consistent. It’s the same quality and quantity as if you dined in (which most restaurants lack unfortunately) but Shogun is right on the money every time! I’ve had the shrimp hibachi dinner, the steak and now the salmon and I couldn’t pick a favorite… everything is all great! The food and cost are perfect and I highly recommend them!! Glad Plainville has this nice spot now!

I've only done pickup so far but I plan on dining in soon. It's beautiful inside. Great date night potential. Best gen tsos in town. The hibachi meals are really top notch. Everything is tasty and portions are plentiful. Give it a try you won't regret it.

Such AMAZING service. I went for a birthday party with 7 people. The staff moved some tables around for us all. Our server was very quick, and extremely pleasant. They even surprised the birthday girl with free dessert!
All of the food that we got was absolutely delicious. And the portion sizes were great especially for the price. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
