I had an absolutely incredible experience with Instructor Jim with the "Shooters Experience." Coming from a country where firearms are strictly regulated (Norway) and having never touched or seen a real gun before, I didn’t know what to expect. But Jim's expertise immediately put me at ease and made the entire experience unforgettable.

Jim is not only an amazing teacher, but his technical knowledge of firearms is truly unparalleled. With long experience and the army, he has an exceptional understanding of every aspect of shooting. His ability to break down complex techniques and explain them in a way that anyone can understand is a testament to his skill as an instructor. Jim has an incredible attention to detail, and it was clear from the start that he knows exactly how to help you improve quickly. On my very first shot with a pistol, I hit the target center —something I never thought I could do—and that’s all thanks to Jim’s precise coaching.

For $299, this experience was worth every cent for the two of us participating. Jim’s guidance wasn’t just about teaching how to shoot; it was about giving confidence and technical skills to do it correctly. His patience, precision, and deep knowledge made all the difference. Awesome place. They have great classes that help elevate your skills and knowledge. Staff is wonderful. They are professional, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable.They are friendly and easy to talk to. Despite this being a male dominated field, as a woman I’ve never once felt uncomfortable or intimidated there. It is clean, well stocked and the range is state of the art. I feel I’ve gotten great value for the money I spend on classes, membership and purchases. I highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I took the CCW class taught by John and were very happy with our experience. We were the only two people in the class so we got to spend plenty of time asking questions and going over anything we wanted to know. The class was structured well and educational, covering thee basics of what you need to know in order to safely and legally carry a weapon. The live fire portion was also a great inclusion to the class, even though my boyfriend and I have shot before. John really took his time with us and we appreciate it! We will definitely be back for more training and classes.

Just wanted to leave a review on the class we just did on Sunday the 26th. It was heads and tails above any training/classes I’ve done! It incorporated so many vital components at a controlled pace. The range, the staff and curriculum were outstanding. John Alvarez instructed the firearms portion and his teaching/skill level correlates perfectly into a well-balanced instructor that knows when to push and when to praise. I really couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! The only downside… it left me wanting more!

I had about 450 rounds through my new Spectr9 suppressor on my Glock 45 and I was getting FTF a couple of times EVERY magazine. My brother in law put it on his Glock and Canik and both ran fine. Changed all my mags, no help. New threaded barrel, no help. Went to Shoot Center again and let John (one of the trainers) shoot it with same result. However, he observed that probably hit the extended slide release with his thumbs because he “holds them high“ like me. Dropped my thumbs and next 2 mages with zero FTFs. The suppressor slows the slide just down enough for my “fat fingers” to make a difference. Thank you John, can’t get better tech support than that!
