The staff were very helpful in a time like this (covid) and being a first time grandma I wanted my son's Baby shower to be in a comfortable place and Somers Congregation church did that for us and more, the place is beautiful, spacious, clean, and very organized and that's a plus for me. Thank you Ann for your help along with your staff and it was amazing.
P.s. I think for big events such as weddings, babyshower, anniversary etc. If the kitchen is being rented we should have the hall for the whole day. My event was for 100 guess and I had to buy more time to be able to have the person that was cooking time for the food to be ready before the event, plus decorations had to be done fast because I didn't have time to do all I wanted to do basically I had to rush through it and it was exhausting for me as the hostess because I didn't spend time with family and friends (too busy running around) and the guests felt like we were not only rushed out the place, but we really enjoyed 1 hour of the event because 6 hrs was used in decorations and cooking. Babyshower games weren't played and rushed through the gift part. The halls I've rented in the past they allow you the hall all day for setting up decorations, the food, and to clean up. I just wish it wasn't so hectic for me and my guess and I could have had the hall that day especially if kitchen was purchased. And the fact that I had payed last year (Oct. 2021) for the event that was happening on(Jan. 2022) in full, but she charged me 2022 price when I paid it in 2021? That was pretty messed up she mentioned prices could go up next year and that's fine if I paid it all last year, but I had the funds for the event on 2021 so why charge me a 2022 price? Like I said the place was awesome 👌 but somethings could use a little change only because it was advertised that way. Events take time and it's not a one hour thing especially big event like weddings, anniversaries and babyshowers. But the place is wonderful for events.
