Let me tell you, this restaurant had me feeling like I just stepped into New Orleans! Pure perfection from start to finish! The food? The world Incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it. We're talking authentic Creole cuisine, the kind that had me reminiscing about being in my late grandmother's kitchen, hitting that sweet spot in my soul.

Every bite was an experience. I mean, those hush puppies? Fire. The seafood platter? Let's just say, it's my new obsession. And the bread pudding? Absolute bliss. You could taste the love and culture in every dish, knowing these were family recipes passed down like priceless heirlooms. It’s so rare to find that level of authenticity in every bite.

Oh, and the vibes? Immaculate. From the music to the warm, inviting atmosphere, this place knows how to set the scene. Perfect spot for family, friends, couples, or a solo treat because when the food is this good, sometimes you just need that “me” time.

In a word, "Disappointing". Having been to New Orleans fairly recently, I was excited to try this place. We did takeout since it was the Art & Wine festival downtown, and I know takeout is never as good. That all being said, we ordered a Shrimp Poboy, Blackened Shrimp Poboy, side of cajun fries, and an appetizer of Brussels sprouts.

The sandwiches were decent. The shrimp was well cooked, which was good, but otherwise they weren't super exciting or even super flavorful. Each sandwich was extra 6 shrimp. And ... that's where the good news ends. We didn't get our brussels at all, so I'd recommend you triple check everything in your order before walking out. Also the fries were... sad. They looked like they came out of a bag and were about as "cajun" as a hipster barista Portland. To be clear, I've had more spicy fries from McDonalds.

I'll probably try it again. But it was disappointing.

So excited for this place. The style of fast food and yet like you are at grandmas house serving sizes. Jambalaya was flavorful with tender chicken and to die for sausage. Cajun fries are delicious. Try the gumbo and the brown sugar lemonade. Thanks staff <3

Food wasn't as good as we hoped. A little blan. Nit really southern flavored like new Orleans. It was filling..crazy amount of fries but no wow factor.

Passed by the place by accident and was glad we ordered some for pickup. Mac and cheese was delicious, pasta still had a bite to them, not just mush. Cornmeal breading on catfish was tasty and catfish po'boy order was packed without tomatoes, as requested. Crab fries was tasty too, full of shredded real crabmeat with cajun fries at the bottom. Shrimps were fully peeled for the 50/50 order. Not a fan of the hush puppies, the crispyness was yumm but the inside just tastes like cornmeal. Would love to try their beignets if we're in the area on a Sunday.

Edit: A year later, still our go-to spot when we're in the area. Tried their blackened shrimp and grits, was not disappointed, absolutely yummy. Husband enjoyed his fried chicken sandwich, it's a generous 2 pieces of chicken in the sandwich.

We LOVE coming here. My favorite is the Cajun Crab Fries ? . The owners take a lot of pride in their food and are usually there every time we come, super polite.

There's parking both in front and behind the building, so that's a bonus.

Alright everybody, this place BY FAR has the best food that I have had since I've been in California. I highly recommend this place only if you're hungry, because you won't want to stop eating! Their soft crab, catfish, shrimp, and don't forget their bread pudding are all out of this world! You will thank me later, I promise!

Was a bit hesitant based on the lack of reviews here, but boy should I have got to Southern Comfort sooner! Got the Crab Cajun Fries to-go and they were absolutely unreal. Animal Style Fries? Never heard of her.

The Mac and Cheese was a great deal and a strong side dish option.
