I have been trying to find a church that is right for me. I used to belong to a church where you can actually get up and move when you felt touched by God's spirit. I was never more happier when I was up worshiping God. Since then that church is gone and I have not found a church like it. I am struggling very hard to find that again I cannot sit still in church when I have been touched by God to move and I'm wondering if this is the church for me. Can anyone answer this question for me? Am I actually going to South point Church to only be disappointed again? I want to find a home again where I belong and right now I don't fit in anywhere else. This became my home church about 5 years ago when Pastor Rocky Cunningham asked me to start a Celebrate Recovery program. I love my church family and love how the pastors preach out of the Bible! I no longer live in the area ( 2 1/2 hours away) , and no matter where this life takes me Southpoint will always be my home church and Pastor Rocky will always be my pastor! Come check out this Holy Ghost filled church and you will see how amazing it is!

The church lacks warmth and genuine connection. The services felt more like a routine than an uplifting experience, and the community didn’t seem very welcoming. The focus seemed to be more on tradition than on fostering a meaningful relationship with the congregation. I left feeling more disconnected than inspired.

I've not met more welcoming, loving, caring, & non-judgmental people. Truly a church-family that walks & lives the gospel. Both Pastor Raul & wife Diane are amazing spiritual leaders. The pastor emphasizes the importance of your 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑮𝒐𝒅, rather than practicing "religion".

By integrating 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 stories about the life that he & his wife & have built together & the Bible, Pastor Raul blends a drop or two of humor, w/ gentle teasing of his wife, making Word instantly relatable. Pastor Raul delivers messages of what it means to be Christian in today's world, importance of our roles as Christians, & what it means to be saved.

Emphasis is placed on always striving to live by God's word. However, in times of difficulty we need to come together & when we falter, allow empathy, grace, & forgiveness for each other & ourselves, acknowledging we all are imperfect brothers & sisters of God's creation 🤍

There are several pastors who provide fellowship, acceptance, knowledge & guidance, love & genuine hearts of service (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞!).

Pastor's Nick & Lori - a God-centered & loving couple, so knowledgeable & accepting. These two kind pastors have serving hearts, compassion for everyone, & do tons of community outreach, especially with those struggling with homelessness or chemical dependency. Nick also leads Wednesday's weekly Bible Study at 7pm, plays guitar during Sunday worship alongside Lori & her heavenly voice. Lori is multi-talented, playing violin during Sunday worship, & also plays drums (maybe more?!). These two were also an integral part in the beginnings of 𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 at SouthPoint, a 12-step type of program that is about more than " just" chemical dependency addictions, but inclusive of 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒕 that is creating a boundary between you & the purpose God has for your life. These two are the epitome of disciples of Christ.

Pastor's Mike & Pam - these two church elders lead the way & provide structure, lots of guidance, & knowledge with understanding during 𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦’𝑠 weekly Thursday night meetings. They convey the importance that part of the reason 𝐶𝑅 is successful is that participating members protect the privacy of each other. This rule is non-negotiable, allowing for participants to feel safe, open their hearts, & allow for healing. It is an 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 & needed by so many. Both Mike & Pam are quick to offer prayer, answer questions, & are undeniably essential &solid leaders art SouthPoint 𝒂𝒏𝒅 within the community.

Pastor’s Luckey & Margie - these two SouthPoint elders offer so much to our church! What I found to be most notable is their kindness, calm, & approachability! In a addition to being an active leader at the 𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 weekly meetings, Luckey is the president (I think!?) of 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 a motorcycle club active at SouthPoint. As leaders within 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴, Luckey & Margie organize charitable rides & events. I don't know much about Broken Chains, except that it is a Christian motorcycle club & they are brothers & sisters in Christ who support each other in battling addictions & other "chains" in this life. This warm & friendly couple will likely make you feel comfortable, accepted, & like a friend 𝑖𝑚𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑦.

The previous pastor, Rocky & his wife are current & active members of the church. They attend weekly sservice & still provide a light within this community.

This is a haven from some of the chaos of world. The peace & caring is real here. Come & listen to the good news!! 🙂

Mixed atmosphere. Never know what you will get. Leadership takes care of the people they like. Youth leaders don't watch your children. They let them run outside don't do head counts when they are supposed to return. Needs major improvement.
