Employees are kind, but I bought a costume without knowing about the new no return policy and unfortunately there are no fitting rooms this year. Probably won’t shop spirit Halloween anymore. Wish that they would have been cautioning about this before buying. Maybe I didn’t see it or it was obvious, but yeah careful if you are to buy a costume from them this year. You can exchange but no returns.

Overpriced and 2024's location was small and cramped. They still have a better selection and quality than most big stores, so it's a great place for a last-minute costume. But if you have time, shopping online or building a custom costume is still the way to go. Otherwise, if you are willing to spend at these rates, you might as well support a local small costume business.

Upon searching for the spirit store last week all over my town hoping to find my favorite place during Halloween, I found where the location was and put the day August 24 in my calendar.

There was a specific item that I wanted that I finally found once I got there. I walked up to pay for my item and they said the credit card terminals were down, but they took cash. I asked him if they could save the item for me as I went above and beyond to obtain the item and they said they could "try."

So I decided to go and get cash. I went and I got cash and I asked them if there was anyway I could get a discount for the inconvenience. They said that they couldn't give me a discount or give me any kind of a free promotional item or anything.

I even asked them if  I could speak to a supervisor and they said that their district manager was available however she was extremely strict and not very nice and they were hesitant to go get her. It says a lot about a manager when an employee fears them.

Once she came out, I very politely introduced myself and explain to her the length that I obtained to get this item that I wanted, and she couldn't have been any less empathetic. She told me she wasn't gonna give me a discount and scoffed at even the idea of a free promotional item. She then began to verbally assault me and was very aggressive in her demeanor and started mocking me in front of her employees.

Then the employee overcharged me, and I said, unfortunately, you seem to have a whole string of mistakes going on that you are not empathetic to, and you're not offering me any compensation for the inconveniences. She started to mock back and said "like you've never made a mistake in your life. "

This was supposed to be a pleasant experience for me. Every year I look forward to coming to the spirit Halloween store and this year I was treated , so poorly that it triggered a panic attack and I had to sit for 30 minutes in my car, and couldn't even drive home because I started shaking and convulsing and having muscle spasms because I was so in shock at how I was treated.....

The fact that the customer service was so appalling that it triggered a medical attack for me is beyond comprehension.

This store is an experience in itself! They have lots of great Halloween decorations and props, as well as all the classic costumes. The display props are all set up in the middle of the store and ready to be triggered so the customers can see and hear the effects very well. The staff is friendly and helpful there. It’s a fun place to visit, I’d recommend checking this store out for sure. *** If you have little ones you should know that some of the items and working props are quite scary and bloody.

Apparently the district manager brings her annoying barking dog to the store and lets it bark the whole time. Makes you want to leave real quick.

I am so upset right now i bought a costume in Chico got all the way to Redding and some of the stuff is missing.i spent over 60$ and now i cant get ahold of anyone

I am really not one to write reviews, but today was such a wild experience that I couldn’t NOT do so. I visited this store today to grab a couple of items before a Halloween party. When I arrived, there was water leaking from the roof and into a small area in the middle of the store; this progressed to the power going out and them having to close the store. Obviously that incident is out of anyone’s control, and I don’t have an issue with that occurring - stuff happens! However, the issue I had was the complete disrespectful attitude of employees. Shouting “LETS GO, LETS GO, GET OUT” while attempting to navigate the wet, dark store, one male employee even laid his hands on me to get me towards the front of the store, and a female employee took the items I did have out of my hands saying “your shopping isn’t as important as getting electrocuted”. Again, I have no qualms with the original leak/power incident, but the complete disregard employees treated customers with during the chaos was outrageous.

Clean spot, plenty of selection, and prices seem more decent than even last year. Thanks inflation!

Staff is nice, though they do have to deal with shoplifters about every 15 minutes.

The displays are a good reason to go now. It's like a pumpkin patch with free admission. Go there to come up with costume ideas, leave without stealing, please.
