Such a beautiful place and visit. I was able to refrence some history, to find out it was a resort years ago. Now, known as a state park, some of the houses still remain, but I can see the happiness that was there at one time. Many places to walk and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a nice destination to take in some nature and history, this place is worth it. Pack a nice lunch.

Definitely a beautiful area to explore there is a parking area for this once you park if you bang a right that will take you to the abandoned resort looking houses which are all boarded up and there is a very cool look to it. You will also find an old abandoned tennis court and a couple other courts in the back also a road that is no longer used that will bring you down to Salmon River I did a complete loop from the alltrails app and saw lots of dogs here which were awfully which I thought was nice. There is also a slight view of the vista. You also find a grill in outhouse and some picnic benches in this area as well.

This is a nice area to dog walk or talk a hike. The path is mostly level and portions wind through the now defunct Sunrise Resort - Frank Davis Resort. In their era these parks were considered top tourist destinations. During the late 1980's tourism wound down and subsequently the state purchased the open space. After a few years of disrepair the state demolished all but the most historic buildings.

My Mom and Dad use to take me there also. If u go please be careful.

A nice place to walk the dog. This is the site of a former summer resort. The existing structures have largely been torn down. The state owns this property now and it is primarily a place where people walk their dogs. In the summer there is some kayaking which takes place along the Salmon River.

Excellent place to launch kayak or canoe. The road to the launch is deteriorated, so drive slowly.

This is one of my go too's for a quick set of 3 mile hikes. A few different main trails on the premises. One high trail with a good long incline, another lower mostly flat trail and then some others that spur off and go along the river. You can easily get 4 miles in here for a good burst energy and fresh air. Great views of the river valley from both upper and lower trails. Well worth the trip
