If you DO live in Delaware, your membership will get you in for free, as always 🙂
I understand why the YMCA by the beaches is only free for Delawareans, but this YMCA is honestly a little outdated and small considering they probably bring in hundreds of dollars a day in guest passes.
Anyway, check this out if your vacationing in the beaches

Took 3 Months and a non-refundable, contract bound, $220 just to cancel my membership. Always held them above other gyms turns out they’re all the same. “Building community” what a joke. Not to mention the wanton nudity in the locker room. Don’t think the “please exercise modesty signs” are workin’ friends.

I attended the YMCA camp in 2015 for a few years and at that time they had amazing people working! Super kind people. We went on trips often and had lots of fun! The children were all fun and kind. And my younger siblings at the time (4 and 3) had tons of friends and had a amazing time! Definitely a fun place to visit. We were also taught and engaged in lots of activities including swimming, yoga and taking walks.

The Rehoboth Y isn't bad for what you get access to compared to other gym offerings in the area. I've gotten a membership here since I'm a local and this Y has expanded a bit as far as their classes go. Pickleball in particular has exploded in popularity ever since classes started here and it's a class that I go to as a young adult. I attend some other classes as well. It is a shame that this Y seems to be steering clear as far as upgrading goes, but at least this place still leaves something to talk about with it's class selection and amenities in general.

(Gym, two fitness rooms, big pool, sauna. Still waiting for jacuzzi.)

I don’t recommend this “camp” and have probably spent more time trying to address issues than my kids attending the place. You’ve led parents to believe this will be something fun for your kid(s) and coincidentally don’t receive the schedule until right before the start of camp- yet, you prepay or leave a deposit from back in Feb. counselors did not watch the kids, and this is after my eldest (who is almost 14) witnessed counselors on their phone, deny permission to a younger child to visit the restroom, allow the kids to remain in wet clothes the entire day and had no clue two small children were with my eldest daughter and watched by her for half the day.
Additionally, they charge you a deposit and a monthly membership fee and even when you attend for ONE week within the month and then 3 days into the next month, their concern isn’t your child but the money! For 3 days they wanted to charge $95 for an additional month, after keeping a hefty deposit and they tried to not refund me another $95 for this month but when I said I’d dispute this with my Cc company- oh, well now she was able to waive the fee for that one month…

It is an ok gym, for the lack of other ones, an old outdated facility in desperate need of all kinds of upgrades to bring it up to date, or better yet take this one down and build a brand new state of the art gym - this is what this area needs, maybe not the 95% of the members though who are old and easy to please with next to nothing.
The pool, which is what my family uses the most, is small and is always busy, either with swim teams or other popular aquatic activities, which makes it rather hard to utilize it for recreational swimming. An Olympic size pool is what a beach town like this needs, in case there's a debate as to what to open here next, instead of the countless stores and overpriced outlet malls.
As a cheap upgrade idea for right now maybe get some ping-pong tables, for those who love the game. Thanks

My boyfriend and I have been members of the Y for over a year now, one of the main reasons we signed up is because we liked that we could visit any YMCA! My boyfriend decided to try this Y out, since we regularly visit the area but he was told their not accepting nation wide members from June 1st - Labor Day but was given no actual reason why (we're assuming due to influx of people in the area but that was never actually said) They made sure to offer a day pass for $25 or a 3 day pass for $60 though... so you want to say that a MEMBER that pays $72.00 a month can't come work out because you're not accepting nation wide members...but you'll let us buy a day/3 day pass. Make it make sense please.

Very poor ran place,wanted to play basketball with my friends and I, received a guest pass for the day for my friends and I,then they said we are not allowed to play in open gym, then 2 workers where very aggressive towards me telling us we have to leave and not play basketball in open gym after we received guest pass. Horrible ran place, very bad for the ymca organization.
