Place like this makes historical downtown of Clermont unique and competitive. And charming, of course.

This complex is composed of about a dozen of independently owned stores of diverse products. No franchises. Gourmet coffee shop, a taco shop and a dessert shop are just a few of charming shops you can find in here.

High ceiling industrial interiors make this place very attractive, but looks like this place is facing some formidable competitions in the area.

Tuesday, Dec. 10th. 11:30am. Google says the Exchange is open but doors on 8th St. are locked, open sign is not lit and no one inside (except at the record store). This is the second time we've been here and both times they've been closed. Saw another couple with a child trying to get in too. The other time we were here was on a Saturday at lunch time. I will not waste my time coming here again. Luckily Montrose Market was open and all vendors were in with lots of food options.

The kids and I had a lot of fun here. Super sweet girl at the stand straight back with Mimosas and Draft Beer! There's the Ramen Bistro Bar to her left and My Dad's Place to her right with pressed sandwiches. They are not alone, though. There are a good handful of little, classy places that makes it like a comfortable inside market, including a jewelry shop that looked interesting. Good vibes in there.

Very cool place, very nice people. We did shakes at crunly inside. They were good and the people were very friendly. They need more of a seating area but love the shakes. It looks a booth or 2 is in development. A lot of booths were unattended when we visited. I will revisit to see some more life in here, but it’s got to have more than just a weekend life.

I stopped in again on Sunday, pretty much all the vendors from my first trip are gone besides the ones the building manager owns and 3 other original vendors.
This place is way worse then Montrose Street Market and the Galleria, it’s always dirty with crud on the floor, still no soap in the bathroom from my first visit.
A lot of chains or bigger names in there, hopefully actual small businesses instead of franchises will fill the empty spaces.

Sorry that I've managed to review your businesses bad, I didn't know it was all owned by the same owners. Maybe that says something bad about them?

I don't usually write reviews, but The Downtown Exchange is a MUST when you're in Clermont. It is exactly what this town needed. You can enjoy an array of food, drinks ( alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and do some shopping. Doesn't get better than that! 🙂 It's definitely a part of my weekend routine! My recommendation? GO GO GO!
