Beautiful hotel from the outside as well as lobby area. Perfect location to visit local shoppes and restaurants plus MU campus. Unfortunately, we had plumbing issues during our stay which the hotel attendant quickly help correct the issue. Our other unfortunate issue was that our hotel room was not visited by housekeeping during our stay. Would I stay again? Not sure; especially with the issues and the cost of stay. I do have to praise the hotel lobby staff - so friendly and happy to help.

The hotel location was great and centrally located downtown. The room was nice and the lobby is beautiful. The only issue is that the rooms on the alley side are subject to a lot of noise from outside. Garbage truck was outside my window every morning around 6.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel in Oxford - Uptown, right off High Street. Plus, it's clean & comfy. My review will echo many previous reviews, but just a bit more advice. The majority of the Standard King rooms face the alley between the hotel and bars. They are odd numbered rooms higher than X23 (i.e 323, 325, 327, 423, 425, etc.) LOTS of street noise in addition to constant opening & closing of dumpsters, tossing trash. The Standard 2 queen beds face the other side - a residential alley. MUCH quieter. Suites face the front of the hotel. Staff is not super friendly, but not a problem either. Good luck getting a room on the weekends during the school year. Weekdays are open and definitely less expensive.

Good location but horrific parking in the public garage which costs $10. It’s small, dark, and the incline where you have to stop to insert your card to access the 3rd floor was not fun. The room was supposed to be two queens but was really two full beds. Water pressure was good, cubby for towels was dusty. Staff was very nice even when questioned about the bed size. For being there about 8 hours, it was fine. Oh, breakfast was basic carbs and sugar.

There was a very attractive muscular young man who eagerly assisted my every request when I last stayed. I stayed again this weekend and he was not there- I was very disappointed. Instead, there was a rotund older gentleman who seemed to have more experience with a buffet line than customer service, and I did happen to catch a glance at the animated pornography he was watching on his computer at the front desk. Luckily my children were not around, but regardless it is a clear display of the quality customer service and care for the hotel this establishment seems to disregard.

Stayed the weekend for mom's weekend (4/1-4/3) with my daughter. Very nice hotel and spacious, clean rooms. Check-in was nice and easy. The front desk personnel Friday and Saturday were awesome!!! However, the front desk person on Sunday when checking out was rude and not nice. The coffee was empty and I asked nicely if there was more and she snapped at me and said no there is no more, go somewhere else.

I would love to recommend this hotel. The room is nice and the location great. The issue I have is a particular detail. The TV doesn't have NBC. Yes, NBC, the network that has been around forever. On a night when I wanted to watch a football game, I couldn't. The front desk staff was completely clueless, could not even understand the issue. I am sure it is a matter of re-scanning for channels, but this was impossible to do. I think this is a matter of businesses not being able to attract and retain competent staff.
