We recently got married at the Inn at Longshore. From start to finish, couples are in the best of hands - from working with Christine to book your date, to your dedicated coordinator. The process is organized down to a science and you are given so many resources to successfully plan your wedding. We were fortunate enough to have Laina as our coordinator and she really just made the entire experience for us. Laina just simply gets it - plus she’s extremely professional, reassuring, and so knowledgable. Really all of the staff there is top notch, the food and drinks are great, the ballroom and outdoor patio/ ceremony space is like out of a dream. We’d choose this venue again a million times over. Thank you for everything!!

My husband and I spent the night of October 21 at the Inn at Longshore, to break the trip from Cape Cod to DC. The Inn is located between the beach and the golf course. It had very limited parking for Inn guests. It was supposed to have a pleasant outdoor environment for the guests, but it was impossible to take a walk without walking on the golf course (not permitted) or in the street. The premises were full of cars, loud people, and cigar smokers. The rooms are on the second and third floor without elevator. We were on the second floor in room 213. The room and bathroom are outdated. The room temperature was high and the dated A/C unit at the window did not work but produced a terrible smelly air. The window of the room looked out at the kitchen roof. Some kind of ventilation system on the roof produced a continuous and very loud rumble noise. When I complained about the noise, the person at the reception stated that there was no maintenance staff on the premises and suggested to unplug the A/C unit in the room. The A/C unit in the room was already unplugged and was not the source of the noise. I complained again in the morning as it was difficult to sleep with that noise and the person at the reception stated that they could not do anything as I booked through booking.com and that I could only write a complaint to booking.com. The continental breakfast was okay. We had dinner in La Plage restaurant of the Inn. It is strangely managed. It was Monday early evening. I asked to book a table with water view. Initially they said that it was not guaranteed but eventually after further discussion we got it. Food was good but overpriced. Service was initially difficult but then okay. I would never come back to this Inn and/or restaurant.

The entire staff were so kind, welcoming and helpful. We went there to get engaged. We came came back from dinner to surprise bottle of champagne in our room.
Breaks was simple but plenty of options and tasted great.

We work with Laina every year to host our client appreciation dinner, and every year Laina and the fabulous staff at the Inn at Longshore exceeds our very high expectations. Our clients really look forward to this beautiful event, with cocktails on the back patio overlooking the Long Island Sound and a delicious sit down dinner in their banquette room. The service is impeccable, every detail is accounted for, and all we need to do is relax and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere, the food, and especially the service make the Inn at Longshore the best place for an event in CT!

Our son and daughter in law had their wedding there last week. It was perfection! The food was delicious, from the wide variety of appetizers, dinner, desserts and late bite snacks. The staff was so professional. So many people complimented how great the staff was. It is such a beautiful venue.

Brian our wedding coordinator was amazing! On point, professional, very attentive to every detail. He was so much fun and has such a contiguous laugh. He truly made us feel at ease, as he had everything under control. A special shout out and thank you to Brian.

Highly recommend The Inn at Longshore. Thank you to all that made this such a special day.

Having our wedding at the Inn at Longshore was the best decision we could have made in the wedding process. The staff is extremely organized and professional, the food is outstanding, and the view is to die for. Laina was a dream as a day-of coordinator - she truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed (and more), and made what can feel like an overwhelming process so easy and fun. With such a warm demeanor and dedication to her couples, you feel like you are her main priority, despite the many events she is skillfully planning at once. She and the entire staff made us feel so special and taken care of. A huge shoutout also to Takeya, who helped ensure our guests were comfortable and kept everything running SO smoothly. Longshore will always be incredibly special to us, and I'm excited for any other couples who get to start their lives in this exceptional place!

This is a very lovely place and all that is advertised is actually true... staff is very nice and without any warning we were able to check in early. The pool is walking distance but part of community so a $10 fee is imposed but it is lovely with a nice river breeze. Food is available for lunch within walking distance of pool as well.|There is a restaurant on premises but it is not affiliated with hotel. Bar is excellent, food is okay but pricey for portions.

Staying at this inn for a night in August with our toddler was a pleasant surprise. I tend to rate hotels in terms of price to value ratio, and for under $250 a night this hotel hit the mark. First off, the outdated website does not do the grounds justice- they are on the sound and have beautiful bay views. The inn is also within some sort of country club that has a golf course and several great pools that our toddler loved (they were $10 per adult for the day, and pools and locker rooms were clean). Our room was lovely and on the 3rd floor with a large bathroom.
Hotel provided a rollaway bed for our daughter - which was a bit uncomfortable due to metal springs but for a child it was fine. Rooms are certainly older but all were clean and we appreciated the large bathroom.
I was worried that it would be noisy due to a wedding but we didn't hear a thing - maybe it was due to being on the 3rd floor or because we got rather loud noise from the AC.
I found the beds to be too soft for my taste but I am alsp 8 months pregnant so sleeping would not be comfortable anywhere.
Included breakfast was great as well and had several options for our toddler. Also amazing that there is a restaurant on site if you are traveling with kids. We didn't love the restaurant - it was packe and food took forever to come out on a Saturday night, but it seemed like a very happening spot - probably just not the best place for kids. We would def come back!
