We had been going for a couple of months. They definitely put on a great production. Music we like to sing to. Good messages.
Went in today to meet my wife who was there early with my daughter so she could help out. She was introducing me to someone in the lobby but I couldn't hear much because of the loud music. I asked if they had earplugs and got some. They were able to turn down the music a bit in the lobby. I went in to get a seat but it was too loud inside. They said the soundboard is that where it is for the inside so I said, bye.
I like upbeat energy, but not blaring music. Not sure if it was from being in the military, but would think a bit lower on the volume is not going to make anyone walk out.
Guess I'll have to watch it online..

My Family loves coming to The Journey in Hockessin. Real Church for Real People is a perfect description of this amazing place! It has quickly become the spot where we gather to do life with people in our community each week. My wife and I love the amazing live music worship and life-giving messages delivered here, and my kids love coming to Journey Kids each Sunday morning! I just wish we had found The Journey- Hockessin sooner! Don't be shy, come visit this weekend!

My family + I all LOVE coming to The Journey Hockessin! They make us feel like family and our kids love going into their classrooms! My daughter was a bit shy at first in Journey Kids, but after the first gathering was over she came out with a bunch of new friends and she can’t wait to go back! If you are looking for a new church with welcoming people, amazing worship and a message that will follow you all through the week, this is your spot!

If you want a family friendly atmosphere, coupled with a comfortable place to worship Jesus, this is the church. It may be a smaller location in square footage, yet not lacking in any way. You will have the opportunity to drink a great cup of coffee, chat with friendly patrons, and ensure that your kids will be safe in their kid's ministry area while you gather. This church will immediately make you feel at home!

What an amazing place this is!! We felt welcomed as soon as we pulled into the parking lot!! The immediate welcoming did not stop there, we were welcomed inside to hit coffee and hot chocolate and snacks and the most pleasant people you will ever meet!! It was a great experience from start to finish! Pastor Daryl is upbeat and uplifting!! We will be returning again and again!!

Real church for real people! I love that I have found real authentic people I can grow and do life with! The Hockessin location is the perfect size for me - not too big but the worship is live and the message is always on point! Biggest plus: my kids LOVE Journey Kids and look forward to coming every Sunday!

I searched and searched for a church, my goal was to find a church that I didn’t feel out of place when I walked through the door for this first time. And let me tell you ,the first time I walked in their door, I felt like I was apart of their church family. I was greeted with the warmest gestures. Everyone introduced themselves and no one tried to dig in my life or judge me upon meeting me. Instead all they said were how happy I came to visit their church. I also was worried about having to dress to impress and not really having “church clothes” . Well ….. guess what you can wear jeans and tee shirts . This church is so well blended and so non judgmental! I have met some great friends here. I highly recommend this church.

The practical applicable word of God delivered weekly had me in Newark and then came Hockessin. It has all of the amenities of a large church; coffee, amazing worship, a relaxed experience with a small church feel where you feel like/are a part of a family. Great church for your entire family!!
