Looking for a sweet treat shop with old tyme candies, fudge flavors galore, Vandewendes ice cream, and the quintessential beach town vibe? Don't want the "oh yea, THAT candy store" with three locations on the same street.

How about the "just a short walk off the boardwalk" down home style store front, locals running the shop spot called Three Blonde Bakers?

The fudge is great...all of it really. If you want good old fashioned, hand dipped scoops of ice cream, this is your spot. Vandewendes is proudly served, and they get some special flavors not generally found elsewhere (lemon anyone).

All the helpers work hard and are incredibly accommodating. Want a taste? Just ask.

I like candy/fudge/ice cream/etc. I don't mind big chain shops per se, it's just that I really like Three Blonde Bakers and why settle for an inferior experience when I can elevate my vacation indulgence?

Service was horrible and the fudge side wasn’t even busy! Ordered a LB of fudge (Snickers, Fluffernutter, and cookies and cream). Was given the wrong order. Asked twice if grabbed correctly and person swore they did. We didn’t have time to check since we had just ran in to buy due to no parking. We were given peanut butter and salted caramel. I hope whoever got our order enjoyed the ones I picked because they looked amazing.

My son claims the fudge tastes good so the food rating was from his perspective.

Really recommend this little store after a nice meal out on the boardwalk. Even if you don't have a sweet tooth the shirts are dope and well-made. The ladies working were young and got flustered quite easily which led to us getting 3 large ice creams for the price of 1!

The rich, creamy chocolate peanut butter good ice cream was really good. It stacks up well against some of the awesome ice cream places you can find throughout Pennsylvania, particular in Amish country. Friendly service and decent prices.

We bought ice cream there on a busy Friday night. Even with a big crowd, our server checked ingredients, let me see the ingredients, since we have some severe food allergies. She even used a clean scoop and a fresh bucket of ice cream for us. It was so nice to have that peace of mind!

Great coffee and I love the pitaya bowl. The brownie I got was SO good. LITERALLY have never had a brownie taste so good. They are always super friendly as well! I recommend them to lots of people who ask for coffee and breakfast items. Some may say they're expensive but they are a small store and make everything themselves so I think the prices are more than fair for tasty treats and fresh ingredients.

My wife and I visited 3BB last night.
We have been here before as we enjoy the ice cream.
Granted it was a Friday night, and they had 4-5
people assisting with the ice cream orders.
However there was only 1 cashier
It was a joke as the line to pay was 6-8 customers deep!
So while your ice cream is melting you’re made
to wait to pay.
Please fix this. When I got up to the cashier to pay I jokingly said you might want to talk to the owners about adding another cashier as the line was ridiculous.
She of course did not find it funny! She then proceeded to get an attitude?!
We won’t be returning. Too bad as we live in Bethany Beach year round!

Do not pass this place without stopping! The Vanderwendes ice cream is the best you will ever eat, particularly if you are a fan of black raspberry. The fudge and candy is good too, but I typically go for the ice cream. Check ahead if time to see if they are open, they are not open year-round.
