terrible. go to petsmart if u can tbh. ordered same day delivery at around 12pm for them to tell me any orders that go through after 5pm get processed the next day. if it’s same day then… shouldn’t it be delivered the.. same… day? next morning didn’t receive anything (even an email) so i called and they said orders from the website don’t go through and u have to order through doordash.

if this was the case then why provide that option? i would’ve just ordered through them in the first place or amazon. lmao… staff will also just play dumb and offer no assistance.

I went there to purchase doggie treats, could not find an associate for assistance but saw an associate sitting surfing on his phone. I asked a question but instead he told me where to find it. I have worked in retails before and I was required to go with the customer to the item they are looking for. I eventually found it and waited at the register but they were too busy with their phones. I left and went to another store. Unfortunately, it was the same thing I waited at the register with an item waiting for the associate but they were very busy with their phone. Must be Petco thing... My retail background we were not allowed to have phones!

Petco on 1550 7th St NW – Why does this store even exist? If you can't carry a basic selection of cat food, what’s the point? I had to go to Giant Foods to get what this joke of a "pet store" didn’t stock. And to top it off, I get attitude from some smart-mouthed employee when I dared to question why the shelves are empty. Here’s an idea: train your staff, stock your shelves, or just shut down. Save us the wasted trips. Absolute garbage experience.

I attempted to contact the store to have a conversation about my experience. However, I found that Unleased by Petco refuses all phone calls. I pressed a number for customer service and was promptly hung up on. I tried the number for I'm here to pick up my order and was told that option was unavailable. I tried the Directions option and again was hung up on. How is that for customer care

When we first started using the self wash station it was $10 and included everything you needed. The price increased to $15 and we kept going because we liked the service. Recently the price increased to $20, but now they no longer offer gloves or even towels, and the quality of the soap is basically water. When we asked about the towels we were told we could buy one for $12.99. Anyone who has a pet knows how difficult it is to dry a dog without a towel. The water was very hot so when we asked the store employee if he could please help us lower the temperature because you cannot do it at the individual station he just said “no” despite the instructions on the wall indicating the need for temp adjustment. Additionally, the brush at the station was full of hair from the last pet washed and it was clear there was no effort made to clean the stations. The employees had an attitude from the moment we walked in the door on our last visit. Disappointing given how much we used to like the service when we first started using it. Given the horrible experience this last time around, we will no longer be returning.

Not sure what happened..... Store hours says it was open on Saturday, but the doors weren't open past 10:30 am. Would have loved to use the self-service dog wash over the weekend

While it’s nice that they offer self wash stations, I would say they’re only functional about 50% of the time so call before you go. They’re either “out of service that day”, only allowing 1 or 2 of the 3 tubs to be used, out of towels (always bring your own), and they’re last bath of the day changes at the whim of the employees. The store closes at 7 pm and I’ve called and been told everything from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm as closing hours for the bath. The H street and Arlington locations are much more consistent.

I ordered a bag of dog food today that arrived that looks as if rats had been chewing on the bag. Unbelievable that a store would send out a bag of food in this condition.
