What a great experience. We brought our 2 year old granddaughter camping for the first time. This will definitely be a tradition every year. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.
Make sure to bring something for the tiny black ants. They will get into everything. But that is not a draw back, just a “tiny” inconvenience.

I hate to even rate this place because enough people know about it already, but...
We stayed for 3 nights in May and if not for the rain on the second day, it would have been perfect. The park closes and is locked from 10 pm central to 7 am each day, and even though it's clearly marked, I somehow overlooked that detail. So on Friday morning, we were going back home (only an hour away) so my wife could be there for an important inspection and she had to call the office so someone could come let us out. The nice lady got up at 6 am and walked up to unlock the gate for us. We really can't thank her enough. Everything about our spot was beautiful and right on the water and had plenty of shade. Didn't visit the bathrooms or much else at the park, but it's beautiful.

Great place to camp. Sites are well maintained, facilities clean, quiet and peaceful. Patrick checked us in and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Even our pets had a good time.

Beautiful campground. The host Margaret was great and most helpful. The low rating is based on our reservation screw up. We needed xtra nights due to a flat tire. Extended the reservation but somehow one day in the middle of the weekend got reserved which is against the weekend rules. Margaret called the main office to fix it. They took our cc # and charged us for the nights. When we checked it they had taken our money and reserved the site for someone else. Instead of fixing that we had to move. We decided not to stay since tire was fixed and went on to our next destination

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It's very clean and the other campers are so nice. We love being right on the water. A lot of trails to walk. Sites and rest rooms/with showers are always clean. You need to go into ufaula to Donut King. The best donuts around. They are filled to the last bite...so yummy!!

The campground itself is great. Staff is great. Location great. Ants are EVERYWHERE. Three day weekend we had ants all over everything. Even after spraying. It's like they are falling from the trees. They were even in the truck around door gaskets. So that being said, great, quiet, relaxing location. Will return but be more prepared for ants.

We enjoyed camping there. Just about all the site are on or near the water. Great fishing there. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Reason why I gave 4 and not 5 star is the people working the front. One person checking everyone in. It was a long line of us there waiting. Took them 30 to 45 minutes to get to us. Usually they have 2 people checking campers in on the weekends.

Very nice campground. Large clean sites, several are on the water. We requested, and got, a pull through site (44), but I think all of the sites are situated for easy back up of your trailer. The first loop (1-29) is closer to hwy 95 and a bit more road noise but still not bad. Clean, heated, restrooms with showers. Each loop has bathrooms with washers and dryers. Friendly staff. Gates are locked at 10 pm and opened at 6 am. You'll need to park outside the gate if the locked gate affects you and it's a bit of a walk if you are on the other side of the gate. All sites have 50 and 30 amp power and all sites have a water connection. Dollar General is about 2 miles away and the town is about seven. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend.
