Panhandle Watermelon Festival - Chipley, Florida

Rating it 1 star simply because the festival runners are incredibly greedy. I went last year with my kids for the concerts. While the performances were wonderful, we experienced heat stroke because of the selfishness of the organizers. Only one food/water booth and it was well over an hour wait to get water bottles. They don't allow you to bring your own coolers to prevent this from happening and they have yet to come up with a decent solution. Honestly, I don't recommend this AT ALL unless you want to end up in a hospital due to dehydration.

Love the live country music. Would love to see more arts and craft vendors. The festival might consider lowering the vendor space price to attract more vendors. As a crafter myself it is difficult to pay $75/$100 not knowing if you'll sell anything at the craft show. Just my opinion

Hard to find. Directions only lead you to the concert area. You have to follow signs to the festival part. Its nice. Couple of carnival things, lots of stands, music and watermelon. Nice, peaceful and relaxing.
