Friday evening drive-thru run. Lady taking our order and running the window was fantastic. Food quality was decent, as expected. But the quantity was pretty underwhelming. I can’t think of another fast food chicken tender place that serves such small pieces. For $10, yikes.

Finally was able to get to this place since they opened. I got the 5x5 meal while my wife ordered the 5 tenders meal. We got an order of the pickles and the mushrooms to try and grabbed one of their desserts for later. The appetizer items were pretty decent: pickles could be thicker but otherwise good. Tenders were ok: nothing super special but not bad. Wings were actually pretty good. Fries tasted good too. Wife got Mac and Cheese and it was cold. Like room temperature cold. Not great flavor either. Sauce wise they have a wide variety. Their slim sauce was disappointing but their garlic parm sauce was amazing and would go great on wings. Overall I would rate this a 3/5: not bad, but not my first pick for a chicken tender meal.

Finally, we got to check out Slims Chicken. It was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon, and we got in before the lunch rush. We got the 7 piece box with original slim sauce. Everything about the food was just ok. The chicken was juicy, but the breading was flavorless. The slims sauce we got was cold, but I'm not sure if that's normal. Given that it was cold, it had a sweet taste compared to other chains' sauces. Not our jam. The fries, toast, and lemonade were the stars of the show. Which is kinda sad because they weren't spectacular either. All in all, it's our least favorite chicken chain in the area. The food was ok, it didn't get us sick, and the combo was enough to split for lunch.

Delicious chicken, was hoping for a little crispier breading on the chicken, but it was tender and came out piping hot! The slices of bread were toasted just right and buttered to perfection. The fries, however, were lack luster, tasted like something I would have bought at the grocery store. Aside from that, everything was tasty.

We weren't blown away by the customer service we received. For a new restaurant, it was surprising not to feel the excitement when we rolled up because we, for one, were pumped to try this place. Tallahassee and surrounding areas haven't had Slim Chickens before, so it's definitely worth being stoked about. The two employees at our drive up station were nice, but not helpful about letting us know what was recommended or seemed to want to be there. We don't feel like this stop convinced us to come back in a hurry.

Waited in drive thru for my order and had a pleasant experience with the attendant, Mikayla. Very nice young woman. Proceeded home and my fries were still hot. Only issue was that a couple of wings were not whole and missing half the meat.

Hats off to the two young men working the drive through. Pretty busy and still proveded excellent customer service! We ordered 2 of the 3 for 3. Tenders were crispy and flavor was on point but, smaller than Raising Canes. The hot wings were not spicy but, really good. I don't like it to be too spicy so I really enjoyed the habanero mango dipped in blue cheese. The mushrooms were just okay, not worth the $2 upcharge. The fries and the toast were both just okay.

Absolutely everything you want out of a chicken joint. Tenders are juicy and the fries are seasoned just right! I appreciate that they offer fried okra and fried pickles. If you upgrade your cup to a large then you get to keep your plastic cup!

They have a place to sit outside as well as indoor seating. We went within their first week so there was a bit of a wait, but it was completely understandable. The staff gave great customer service.

We had one in Arkansas so I was super happy to see we had one move to Tallahassee. It’s better than Chick Fil A and Zaxbys hands down
